Brand Spotlight: Skratch Labs

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Skratch Labs offers hydration and sports nutrition made with real ingredients that are easy on digestion. Dr. Allen Lim originally created the first Skratch Labs product as an alternative to artificial sport drinks and nutrition for Tour De France athletes, and his "secret drink mix" is now changing the game for the everyday rider. 

Lim began by diluting sports drinks to lower the sugar concentration then added extra salt and electrolytes to replace what is lost through perspiration. The "secret" recipe was eventually created with less sugar, more sodium, and no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors, with a simple and clean taste all made by using real fruit.

This drink alternative started to take off with cyclists, and other athletes were wanting to get their hands on it. That is when Allen decided to let everyone in on the secret, and gathered a team of his close friends and launched what we know today to be Skratch Labs. 

Skratch makes food and drinks that taste great and are made from real ingredients. They use only real fruit, assuring that what's going in your body is fueling you the right way. It is all meant to be simple and clean all while not sacrificing taste.
